UV/Visible light-curable SpeedMask® 730-BT maskant provides excellent surface protection during chemical milling/etching, plating, anodizing, shot peening, sandblasting, and grit-blasting operations. The maskant aids in the manufacture, overhaul, repair, rework, and surface finishing of metal components used in aerospace engines (turbines, vanes, blades), orthopedic implants, and general masking applications. The material is impervious to most acid and alkali solutions.
SpeedMask® 730-BT maskant is a fast-curing organic resin ideal for either spray or dip masking of metal parts. When used as a temporary protective coating, the product replaces environmentally hazardous and time-consuming solvent- or water-based maskants. This masking resin requires no mixing prior to use and its highly visible blue color makes it easy to see when dispensed onto substrates, enabling accurate material placement on components. When cured, it provides surface protection from chemical processing of nickel alloys, steel, titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, and glass. The material is easily removed by peeling and is trimmable after cure.
Dymax materials have no solvents added and cure upon exposure to light. Their ability to cure in seconds results in lower processing costs. When cured with Dymax UV light curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyor systems they deliver optimum speed and performance for maximum efficiency.
SpeedMask® 730-BT maskant is in full compliance with the RoHS2 Directives 2015/863/EU.
